The Kilsyth Junior Cobras have wrapped up an impressive weekend of hoops at the Eltham-Dandenong Tournament, with a number of teams securing championships and grand final berths.
Dubbed the ‘Worlds Largest Junior Basketball Tournament,’ the annual competition, this year’s edition featured over 1400 teams and 4000 games spanning from Under 10’s through to Under 21’s and All Abilities age groups. While the tournament serves as an ideal ‘refresher’ for teams returning to action following the Christmas and New Year break, our Cobras found tremendous success on the court, with over half of our teams advancing to final four of their respective competitions.
An impressive 20 of our 36 competing Cobra teams secured Semi Final (Final Four) berths, with 10 teams advancing to Grand Finals on Monday. The Under14-5 Girls, and 12-3, 16-5 and 21 Boys all took home tournament championships, while the Under 12-1, 12-6 and 14-3, Boys and 12-3, 14-4 and U10 Girls all finished the weekend as runners-up.
Congratulations to all our finalists over the weekend!
