On Saturday night the Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras took on the Frankston Blues at home on the Hugh McMenamin Court.

Expectations were high for the Swinburne Lady Cobras, who were coming off a 14 day break thanks to a bye last round. Round three saw the girls notch up consecutive wins against Geelong and Albury/Wodonga.

Both teams got off to good starts, going into the second quarter level on 18 points. However from this point on, the Lady Blues took control of the game, coming out on top 80 – 66.
 
The standouts for the Lady Cobras were Carley Mijovic and Sarah Parson with 28 points and 8 rebounds, and 24 points and 10 rebounds respectively.

The Frankston Blues were going to be tough to beat as they played our Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras to keep their spot in the top four. Frankston lead in the first quarter, but the Swinburne Cobras turned it around in the second, going into the final half two points up.

It was the Blues who dominated in the second half however, taking home a convincing win 78 – 57.

In a disappointing match, EJ Kusnyer stood out with 15 points, and 5 rebounds. He was well supported by Tim Lang with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
