Kilsyth finished the season in 3rd place with a 16-6 record and will play the first placed Diamond Valley Eagles (18-4) after they were defeated by Dandenong last weekend.

The Cobras have been defeating twice by Diamond Valley by 17 points at home early in the season and then by 16 on the road.

Kilsyth boasts the Leagues highest scorer, sensational first year player Joel Naburgs, who has averaged 23.4 ppg throughout 2008.  He has worked in tandem with Scott Dixon and Glenn Potts but it has been roll players Tim Mulhall, Adam Dixon, David Moore and Zach Moult who have provided the glue to help the team continue to win.

This season marks the first time Kilsyth have made the youth league finals since winning the title in 2004. Coach Rod Popp will be looking to return the grand final with a win this Saturday night.

Should the Cobras win they will play the winner of Dandenong and Melbourne in a three-game series to determine the 2008 Youth League champion.
