The loss of Costas Hronopoulos from the Spectres line-up last week hurt the team immensely as they lacked offensive firepower. Coach Dean Gluyas will be hoping to have him in the line-up this week against the second placed Raiders. This is the first match between the two teams since last years Grand Final, but both teams have vastly different teams than their 2011 line-up.
Sunday 13th May – 1:45pm
Dandenong have scored 70+ pts in their past four matches and scored a massive confidence boosting win over Nunawading last week. Ballarat on the other hand are yet to score 70pts in a game this year so may struggle against the league’s number 1 offensive team.
Sunday 13th May – 2:00pm
This match will be a true test as to how deep the Raiders bench is. After a tough match with Nunawading the previous night it will be interesting to see the production from the Raiders bench in this game as they will need to lift. Otherwise the Blues may record the surprise victory.
BVDL WOMEN
Saturday 12th May – 8:30pm
Nunawading are the inform team of the competition behind a seven game win streak. The Raiders will be understrength in this game due to a number of players travelling to Tasmania with the SEABL team. This should help the Spectres, and a win to Nunawading will also see them move into the number 1 position on the ladder.
Sunday 13th May – 1:45pm
The Rangers have dropped their past two matches, but should return to the winners circle this week with a victory over the winless Rush.
Sunday 13th May – 2:00pm
Frankston have been sitting quietly in fourth position most of the season, but need to defeat the teams above them if they want to be seen as championship contenders.
