As another exciting and prosperous year draws to a close, I’d like to take an opportunity to thank all of our members, volunteers and staff, for their wonderful work throughout 2012. Kilsyth Basketball has had a fantastic year with many highlights. A few that come to mind are the implementation of the new governance structure, the running of the Australian School Championship in partnership with Knox Basketball, and of course we couldn’t forget the winning of Club of the Year at the SEABL awards.

As we move into 2013, we look forward to celebrating our 50th year as an Association, a remarkable effort. To kick off the celebrations, we are holding a Family Fun Day on February 3 with rides, food, entertainment as well as appearances by our Swinburne Cobras players.

Just to remind you, we will be closing the Kilsyth Sports Centre on 20 December 2012, and reopening on 14 January 2013.

I hope you all have a wonderful time with your family and friends over this festive season, and I look forward to seeing you in the New Year.
