The men’s team will be now known as the Club Kilsyth Cobras and the women’s team Club Ringwood Kilsyth Lady Cobras in the Basketball Victoria Development League.

Group General Manager of Club Kilsyth and Club Ringwood Matt Tyzack said “Club Kilsyth & Club Ringwood are proud to be sponsoring the Kilsyth Cobras D-League teams this season.”

“The Clubs have a proud tradition of supporting local community groups and sporting organisations over many years.”

Head Coach of the Club Kilsyth Cobras, Rod Popp spoke of the new partnership.

“It is really good to have both Club Kilsyth and Club Ringwood on board for the 2012 Basketball Victoria D-League Season. Every year we look to develop players and the sport of basketball in the local community and it is great to see the Clubs get on board and work with us to achieve our goals.”

The Club Ringwood Lady Cobras and the Club Kilsyth Cobras kick off their 2012 campaign on the Hugh McMenamin Court against the Sandringham Sabres on Saturday March 17 with the Women set to tip-off at 6.15pm and the Men to tip-off at 8.15pm.
