Unable to back up after losing by 12 to Frankston Saturday night, the Cobras have put themselves in a massive hole come finals time with the big loss against the Pioneers. Kilsyth now sit in 4th place just ahead of Mt Gambier playing two less games.  Kilsyth will now travel to Mt Gambier needing to defeat the Pioneers by over 26pts if they are going to get the all important season split.  Should they not be able to obtain the split and finish on the same record come seasons end, Mt Gambier would slide into finals above Kilsyth.

Joe Werner (18pts, 12rbds) finished with his 9th double-double of the year but will limited support the Cobras will be looking for answers as the Pioneers ran riot.

Dallas Jeffree (29pts, 12 rbds) and Jason Sedlock (20pts, 9 rbds) led the way for the Pioneers and proved to be a handful for the Cobras front line, who are struggle to hold down their opponents in 2008.

Shooting at 38%, Kilsyth had DJ Taylor score 13pts, Jon Croft 12pts and Zach Malvik 11pts in a disappointing weekend for the import guard after finishing with just 17 pts Saturday against Frankston.
