Geelong jumped the Cobras in the first term as Daniel George (12pts, 18rbds) proved a difficult match up for the undersized Cobras and Shawn Myers (25ptsm 15rbds) had his own way.  Joe Werner (21pts, 15 rbds) and DJ Taylor (12pts, 7 rbds) did their best to contain the big line up but struggled as the Supercats built a 24-17 quarter time lead.

Kilsyth struggled again in the 2nd term as Geelong scored freely only Jon Lee (15pts) was able to get good looks at the offensive end as the Supercats went into the half up by 22pts.  Geelong outrebounded the Cobras on the boards 55-42 and controlled the game through this statistic.

Coach Grant Wallace gave his players a stern message at half time, lose this game and it is season over.  Kilsyth hit the floor with a new energy in the 3rd term outscoring the Supercats 31-20.  Gerard Leonard (23pts) caught fire and gave the Cobras a chance at a victory.

After starting the 4th quarter on a 13-4 run, Kilsyth were right in the going having pulled back a 22 point deficit to just 2.  After a Geelong timeout, Myers again took over down the stretch as the Supercats went on a 19-4 run to end the game.

Coach Grant Wallace will again rue missed opportunities as the Cobras shot at 37% from the field and 74% from the line, Geelong hit 45% and 100% respectively.  Kilsyth must now quickly regroup as they get set to take on the fast improving Bendigo on SEABL Big Wednesday, followed by a match up with arch rival Knox in the battle for the ashes next Saturday.
