Lang returns to Kilsyth after four years at Stetson University in Florida.  Stetson is currently home to another former Cobra Graeme Radford who will be joined by current D League players Joel Naburgs and Liam McInerney for the 2009-10 Season.

With the addition of Lang, the Cobras now possess a formidable front line for the 2009 SEABL Season and beyond.  Lang will join the Cobras front line of Chris Cameron, Joe Werner and DJ Taylor.

Coach Grant Wallace is excited by the addition of Lang to the roster, “Tim will be a great asset for our Club now and into the future, he is in great shape, has a drive to succeed and a work ethic which will deliver results,” he said.

Playing SEABL has been a long time goal of Lang’s and he is looking forward to the experience, “Being able to play at a SEABL level is something I have aspired to since Under 10, I hope SEABL can be a stepping stone to future opportunities in an elite Australia competition or in Europe,” he said.

“I looking forward to playing with Grant Wallace, both him and Coach Popp have helped me a lot. I have trained with the guys the past couple of College off-seasons which has been great.”

“I hope I can bring some youthful energy at both ends of the floor and help the Club win.”

Wallace sees a bright future for Lang, “Tim is the first of a number of Kilsyth players to return from College, he like many of the others have a very bright future and are within reach of chasing the dream of playing in the Australia Elite Mens competition – whatever that will be,” concluded Wallace.

The Cobras play their most important games of the season this coming weekend as they try to stop their Season from slipping away.  Kilsyth take on the Dandenong Rangers from 8.15pm Saturday 23 May 2009 at home before travelling to Sandringham on Sunday to take on the Sabres.
