AMY DENSON – Kilsyth Lady Cobras

Kilsyth Lady Cobras import Amy Denson has started her SEABL campaign at a blistering pace, and has been rewarded for her perfect performance on Sunday, helping her team to a 71-61 road victory against Ballarat.  Denson finished the game with 26 points @ 63%, 4 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocks in only 27 minutes of game time.  Amy was also able to contain the Lady Miners prize off season recruit and recent Australian Opal Squad nominee Cayla Francis to only 8pts at 17%. Amy sustained a sprained ankle in training leading into round one of competition, but has shown no signs of pain as she has guided the reigning champion Lady Cobras to a 1-1 season start.

Other notable performances were;

      Caitlin Cunningham continues to torment her opposition for her new club Knox Raiders.  Cunningham averaged 20pts and 7rebs for the Raiders, helping them to a 2-0 record and first place on the ladder.

   Bendigo guard Kelly Wilson played the entire 40mins against Albury/Wodonga, and finished with 25pts@45%, 10rebs, 7ass and 3stls in the Lady Braves 76-54 victory.

     In her first game with new club Brisbane Spartans Emma Randall recorded 26pts@63%, 9rebs and 6ass, showing no signs of tiredness after returning from a long summer playing in France.
