Last Saturday night basketball fans of the Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras had the opportunity to walk away from the Kilsyth Sports Centre with a brand new pair of Beats By Dr. Dre headphones, and with an amazing shot from behind the three-point line, young fan Luke did!
Upon entry, Swinburne Cobra fans were given a raffle ticket for the opportunity to win a brand new pair of headphones from new Kilsyth sponsor Beats By Dr. Dre. With tickets drawn at quarter time of the Swinburne Lady Cobras game, the winning ticket, green B1, belonged to young Luke of the SEBC Saints.
At three-quarter time of the Swinburne Lady Cobras game, Luke hit the court with a new Beats By Dr. Dre t-shirt, and three shots standing between him and the Beats By Dr. Dre headphones. The task at hand was for Luke to make a layup, foul shot and three-pointer in the space of 24 seconds for the Beats by Dr. Dre headphones to be his. Hitting the first two in as many shots, a three was needed with about 10 seconds left. Unfortunately his first three-point attempt could not be made. Scurrying to get the boards, Luke threw up a three-ball with only two seconds remaining, coming sweetly off the backboard the shot was made in the clutch to the cheer of the near-capacity crowd.
Luke was the first ever Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras fan to walk away with a pair of Beats By Dr. Dre headphones valued at $299. Big congratulations to Luke for making the first ever Beats By Dr. Dre giveaway a huge success!
