Deanna Smith (28pts, 8rbds, 5 stls) lead all scorers as the Swinburne Lady Cobras came back from 13 points down at half time.
Sandringham built their solid first half lead with Cayla Francis (25pts, 11rbds), Nicole Hunt (20pts, 9ass) and Renae Camino (16pts) all making major contributions for the Sabres.
After getting down by 20 points in their earlier match of the season, the Sabres jumped Kilsyth in the opening term taking a 22-16 lead into the first break.
The Swinburne Lady Cobras could not find any rhythm in the second term with Sandringham holding the high scoring Kilsyth to just 27 points in the first half.
Down big as they were against Ballarat two weeks ago, the Swinburne Lady Cobras returned to the court in the second half with a new intensity.
Ellie Manou (19pts, 13rbds), Hayley Moffatt (13pts) and Alice Kunek (9pts, 8rbds) all contributed during a third quarter fight back, with Smith’s 11 points helping to cut to margin to five at the final change.
Kilsyth gained the lead with six minutes to play in the match and following a number of lead changes Kilsyth scored on three consecutive possessions to build a five point lead with two minutes to play.
Sandringham got back to within a single point but Kilsyth sealed their 10th win of the season from the free throw line and will be looking for number 11 against Bendigo at home tomorrow.
