Kilsyth fan-favourite Jorden Adnam will return to the Cobras lineup for the 2021 NBL1 season.

Adnam returns home following a one year stint with the rival Knox Raiders in 2019, where he was a solid contributor for the Raiders in his first full-time season in the NBL1. The Mount Evelyn Meteor junior enjoyed a stellar VYC Career with the Cobras from 2014 to 2018; Adnam led the Cobras to league championships in 2015 and 2017, was named league MVP (2018) and Finals MVP (2017) in back-to-back seasons, and earned a trio of VYC All-Star 5 nods (2015, 2017-18).

Guiding Adnam and co. to that 2015 VYC title was current Cobras NBL1 head coach Pete Godfrey, with Godfrey confident that Adnam’s unorthodox, unique skillset on the offensive end will serve the Cobras well in 2021.

“I coached Jorden 2013 to 2015, and was really keen to see him back in the mighty red and black,” Godfrey said.

“A freakish athlete with a quiver of ‘special’ moves on the floor make him an interesting player to watch and maybe just a little tough to scout.”

Adnam and the Cobras tip-off their 2021 campaign at home against the Waverley Falcons on Saturday April 17.
