A number of outstanding players, coaches, volunteers and referees were honoured on Monday at Kilsyth’s 2019 Junior Domestic Awards night.
The Domestic Awards night recognises the outstanding contributions from a number of people over 2019, with individuals and clubs nominated by their peers for the annual awards. See below for a full list of award winners:
Girls Coach of the Year – Roger Bland (Mt Evelyn Meteors)
Boys Coach of the Year – Brett Capuano (SEBC Saints)
Volunteer of the Year – Peter Bartlett (Maroondah Magic)
Girls Player of the Year (U12-U14) – Emma Barkwith (SCYC Scorpions)
Boys Player of the Year (U12-U14) – Jack Aston (Eastern Eagles)
Girls Player of the Year (U16-U21) – Tayla Bader (Montrose Vikings)
Boys Player of the Year (U15-U21) – Shaun Clarke (Kilsyth Heat)/Blake Giltinan (Fosters Phantoms)
Community Engagement Award – Drew Fenton
Female Referee of the Year – Madison Blakiston
Male Referee of the Year – Jack Thomas
Largest Club Membership Increase – Crossover United
Junior Domestic Club of the Year – Yarra Glen Venom
