Kate attends Box Hill Senior Secondary College and is also a member of the Kilsyth Workforcexs Cobras D League team.
"It has been a great performance by Kate following a selection process that began in May to make the final team of twelve players," said Michael Grant – Victorian Secondary Schools Sports Association.
"Her impressive performances caught the eye of the Victorian Basketball Team selectors that culminated in her selection," he said.
Kate will join the team mates to play in a series of practice matches and training sessions before competing in the School Sport Australia Event to be held in Newcastle, NSW.
The Kilsyth Cobras congratulate Kate on her achievement and wish her and her teamates all the best for the Championships.
