It is with mixed emotions that Kilsyth Basketball wishes to announce the resignation of the Association’s General Manager Grant Wallace, to take up a position with Basketball Victoria as their Basketball Operations Manager.

Grant has been a significant contributor at Kilsyth Basketball since he commenced as SEABL Men’s Head Coach in 2004. In January 2008 he was appointed to the position of General Manager of Kilsyth Basketball, and since that time the Association has enjoyed great success and growth under Grant’s leadership.

Grant is an excellent ambassador for the promotion and development of Basketball within the Yarra Ranges and beyond. During his time as General Manager for Kilsyth Basketball, the community has benefited through many of the programs that have been developed and supported by him.

Grant’s progression into such a senior role with Basketball Victoria is a wonderful reflection on the way in which Kilsyth Basketball is developing its staff and volunteers to achieve promotion to higher levels of Basketball, at both state and national levels.

On hearing the news, Kilsyth Basketball President Malcolm Allison said, “It’s sad to lose Grant. He was the driving force in making Kilsyth Basketball a leader in all areas. I wish him well in his new position with Basketball Victoria. I have no doubt he will excel there as well”.

Fortunately Grant will remain connected with Kilsyth Basketball, as he continues with his duties as the Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras Head Coach.

Grant is looking forward to his new challenges and we can be assured that he will reflect fondly on his days as General Manager at Kilsyth Basketball. On behalf of the Board and the Kilsyth Basketball community, we wish Grant all the very best in his new role.

Kilsyth Basketball will now begin the recruitment process for the Association’s new General Manager. This process will be managed by Raptores Recruiting and any enquiries can be directed to Jessie 03 9188 4262.
