Kilsyth Basketball is excited to have secured an innovative new partnership with AGL Energy to conserve power for the game.  AGL has come on board as a major partner of the Kilsyth Basketball Association to aid its operation in providing greater opportunities to the sporting community.

As one of Australia’s leading integrated renewable energy companies, and celebrating 175 years supporting the community, AGL are offering the Association and their member’s special discounts on solar.  AGL is also working with Kilsyth Basketball to install a 30kW Solar PV system at the Kilsyth Sports Centre.

The new solar power solution will substantially reduce the centre’s electricity bill, allowing more funds to be invested in improving facilities for fans, players and the local sporting community and more importantly keeping participants’ costs under control.

Mark Brownfield, AGL General Manager Marketing & Retail Sales, is delighted to be working with Kilsyth Basketball on this initiative as a way of promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions to the local community.

“As part of AGL’s commitment to ensuring Australian families have access to cost-effective renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions, we are celebrating the new partnership by offering the Kilsyth Basketball community, including affiliates, members, staff and players, exclusive discounts on their own residential solar PV installations.”

Kilsyth Basketball General Manager Grant Wallace believes that the partnership is an important one for Kilsyth Basketball to be involved with: “with an ever growing focus on the environment we at Kilsyth Basketball are proud to be able to do our bit to bring awareness to the benefits that going solar can bring to the community”.
