Friday night Kilsyth Sports Centre will light up as visiting teams Melbourne Tigers and Wollongong Hawks tip off on Hugh McMenamin Court in a NBL preseason matchup.  The highly anticipated game will be the second exhibition game Kilsyth Basketball has hosted this month and expectations are high that this will be another packed house.

The Tigers boast returning veterans Tommy Greer, Matt Burston, Lucas Walker, Bennie Lewis and Liam Rush and also suiting up for the red and gold this season will be Nate Tomlinson (University of Colorado, USA), Adam Ballinger (Adelaide 36ers), Chris Goulding (Gold Coast Blaze), Kevin Braswell (New Zealand Breakers) and new import Seth Scott.  The squad will be looking to use the game to tune up their play as the 2012/13 iiNet NBL Championship Season quickly approaches on 7 October.

For the Hawks, Friday’s game will display the abilities of returners Glen Saville, Dave Gruber and Dan Jackson.  New to the Hawks’ line-up but all too familiar to this Kilsyth home crowd will be recently signed Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras Auryn Macmillan.  There is no better way to welcome Macmillan to the League than a game on his own home floor here at Kilsyth, and Cobras fans are encouraged to show him your support.

Tickets are now on sale for the game and with the tremendous success of the Tigers’ first exhibition game earlier this month fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance to guarantee a seat for the action.

For more information about tickets, please contact the office at 9728 1033.  Tickets can be purchased during office hours only, Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm at Kilsyth Sports Centre, 115 Liverpool Road, Kilsyth 3137, or at the door on game night subject to availability.
