Sarah Parsons was again on fire for the Lady Cobras as she finished with 20pts, 17rbds and 6 assists.  The Thunder had no answer for Parsons and were forced to try and out score their opponent.  The Lady Cobras scoring power made them tough to guard as Clare Papavs also got in the points finishing with 20.

The first half was a close contest with each team going basket for basket.  NW Tasmania pulled out by 5 mid way through the second term but Kilsyth rallied to go into the half up by 8.

Desiree Glaubitz (12pts, 6rbds, 4 assists)  made it hard for the Thunder at both ends of the floor helping to contain Thunder star Kirsten Veal (18 pts, 10 rbds).

The most telling stat in the game was the 38 free throws Kilsyth shot to just 24 by the Thunder of which the Lady Cobras hit 28.

Kilsyth have now consolidated their place in the top 4 moving to 11-6 two wins in front of their closest rival Ballarat who moved to 9-6.

Kilsyth will return home next Saturday Night 21st June at 6.15pm to take on Nunawading who sit at 13-4 in third place on the ladder.  Nunawading our now the only top four team the Lady Cobras are yet to beat in 2008.  Kilsyth will be fired up as Erica McMenamin plays her 200th SEABL for the Lady Cobras in front of what is expected to be a massive crowd in this local derby.
