Kilsyth Basketball is excited to announce that Peter Gay will return as the Swinburne Kilsyth Lady Cobras Head Coach for the 2013 SEABL Season.

After completing his first season at the helm of the Swinburne Kilsyth Lady Cobras as SEABL Women’s South Conference Runners-Up and an impressive 20-6 record, Peter Gay will look to take the girls even further come 2013.

The Swinburne Kilsyth Lady Cobras were seen to be complete outsiders to make play-offs in 2012, with a very young side and a first time Head coach, however Gay proved that with a strong team spirit and a dedication to stick to a game plan anything is possible.

The Swinburne Kilsyth Lady Cobras hosted the Knox Raiders in the SEABL Women’s South Conference Grand Final; unfortunately all the Swinburne Kilsyth Lady Cobras’ efforts just weren’t enough with the Knox Raiders running out victors by 13 points 58 – 71.

Mal Allison President of Kilsyth Basketball is delighted that Peter has signed on for the SEABL 2013 Season “Peter did a fantastic job in his first season with us as Head Coach and I am extremely pleased he has agreed to coach for 2013”, Mr. Allison said.

Peter Gay is thrilled to return as Head Coach next year “Im really excited to be back at such a great supportive club like Kilsyth and am especially looking forward to using what both the team and I learnt in 2012 as well as watching the group progress and hopefully develop some young stars from the Kilsyth Basketball Junior Program”.

Peter hopes to use 2012 as a building block for future success in 2013 “I believe that next year will be a good challenge for the group, as we set the bar for what is expected in 2012 and both the players and the coaches will need to improve if we are to take the next step!” Gay concluded.

The Swinburne Kilsyth Lady Cobras will enjoy their off-season while Peter goes about putting together the team for 2013.
