Kilsyth Junior Sarah Haberfield has re-signed with the NBL1 Cobra Women for the 2021 season.

Haberfield took great strides in her basketball in 2019, where she enjoyed a standout VYC season and helped the NBL1 Cobras win the league’s inaugural championship. The speedy guard has continued to impress in the early going of 2021, averaging 11 points and three assists per game for the VYC Women, helping them race out to a 5-0 start.

Haberfield’s championship experience, work ethic, speed and energy gives head coach Hannah Lowe’s team another perimeter threat, with the SEBC Saints junior set to provide the Cobras with a spark plug off the bench.

“Sarah was a member of the 2019 championship team and brings her high level work ethic every week that lifts the group,” Lowe said.

“I am excited to see what Sarah does with her opportunities this year.”

Haberfield and the Cobras make their 2021 NBL1 debut at home this Saturday night when they play host to the Waverley Falcons at 6pm.
