After defeating Brisbane in Round 9, our Swinburne Kilsyth Lady Cobras were keen to make it back to back wins, as they took on Launceston on the Hugh McMenamin Court on Saturday night.

The Swinburne Lady Cobras “had a great start to the game” said Head Coach Peter Gay, taking control in the first half, to go into half time 10 points up. Launceston attempted to come back in the fourth quarter, but our Lady Cobras were too good, defeating them 72 – 60.
The standout in a great game was Carley Mijovic with 27 points and 12 rebounds.

After a disappointing loss last week, the Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras were keen to give it all they had, as they took on North Western (NW) Tasmania Thunder. The Thunder was also looking for a win after losing to Mt Gambier the night before.
The Swinburne Cobras played a fantastic first half, and went into the third quarter with an impressive 14 point lead. Hungry for the win, NW Tasmania took every opportunity in the second half to fight back. As the siren sounded in the final quarter, both teams were locked on 77 points as the game went into overtime.

In a nail biting 5 minutes, the Thunder had the edge, eventually defeating our Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras by 3 points (94 – 91)
Stat leaders for the Swinburne Cobras were EJ Kusnyer with 23 points and 7 rebounds, and Tim Lang with 24 points and 5 rebounds.
