The guard/forward from Queensland has been playing with the Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras since 2005, when she joined the lady’s youth league team. Hayley’s big moment came in 2006 when she was elevated up to the SEABL team to play a couple of games, to becoming a part or the team’s growing success.

Moffatt, who went through the 2011 season averaging 11.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game, returns for her seventh season with Kilsyth.

Hayley is looking forward to getting back into it for 2012 “I’m looking forward to see what the 2012 season brings with new coaches and a few new player additions to our team” Moffatt said.

Hayley and the team will look at going one better in 2012, looking for a Grand Final berth after being eliminated by Knox Raiders in the 2011 Preliminary Finals.

“The girls we have at preseason training are working hard and gelling well together. I’m sure that the girls coming into the team in the next few weeks will fit in with no difficulty and I am confident we can have a very successful season” Hayley concluded.

Head Coach Peter Gay is excited to have the pieces for the 2012 season coming together in his first season as Swinburne Kilsyth Lady Cobras Head Coach.

“It is great having Hayley back at the Cobra’s as she is a tough/athletic competitor who will continue to work hard every time she is on the floor” Peter said on Hayley resigning for 2012.

“Hayley’s role in 2012 will be to continue to provide speed & agility in the 3 & 4 spot whist providing plenty of energy at the defensive end”

“In 2012 we will look to play a defensive brand of basketball and work hard as a team with plenty of versatility amongst the group” Peter concluded.

Both Hayley and Peter now have their sights set for their opening game 2012 SEABL Season on March 24 against Ballarat.
