All 11 players on the roster scored for Kilsyth with Alice Kunek (23pts, 8rbds), Deanna Smith (19pts, 7ass) and Ellie Manou (15pts, 13rbds) leading the way.

After a slow start against Knox on Saturday night, the Swinburne Lady Cobras jumped out of the blocks against the Lady Chargers leading 19-8 at quarter time.

Rhonda Price (23pts, 7rbds) and Kate Berry (18pts, 10rbds) did all the could for Hobart but Kilsyth went on a 21-10 run during the first five minutes of the second term to extend their lead to 22.

Hayley Moffatt (16pts, 7 rbds) and Brooke Nisi (12 pts, 3/4 3pt) continued to shoot the ball well in the 3rd term as the Swinburne Lady Cobras extended their lead beyond 30 at the final break.

Rookies Jordyn O’Shea (8pts, 3 ass), Kate Ebzery (7pts), Rebekah O’Donnell (5pts, 7rbds) and April Manton (2pts, 7rbds) all received valuable playing time in the win, helping the Swinburne Lady Cobras score another 34 points in the final term to extend the final margin to 60.

Kilsyth shot at 54% from the field and 56% from behind the arc compared to 32% and 17% for Hobart. 

Hobart, on their first road trip as the League’s newest team, will get better as the Season goes on and will get another opportunity against Kilsyth at home later in the Season.

Kilsyth will now prepare for a match up against the reigning SEABL Champions the Brisbane Spartans next Saturday.
