The Melbourne Tigers pre-season is heating up with the club announcing their first home pre-season game to be played against the Gold Coast Blaze on Friday the 18th of September.

The Tigers are happy to be playing the game at one of Victoria’s largest state association’s home court – The Kilsyth Sports Centre, home of the Kilsyth Cobras. It will be great to see the local basketball fans of Kilsyth getting a taste of NBL action on their home court.

Kilsyth Basketball General Manager Grant Wallace highlighted the return of Luke Kendall to Kilsyth, “It is fantastic to have an NBL Pre-Season game here again and for our fans to see Luke back playing at Kilsyth, this time for the Tigers, Luke has a loyal supporter base in the area”.

The Tigers pre-season schedule has already seen them win five out of their seven games in Queensland and Darwin. The Tigers defeated the Townsville Crocodiles twice and split two games against the Cairns Taipans before heading to Darwin where they won their final two games of the ‘Top End Challenge’, beating Adelaide and Perth after dropping the first game against eventual pre-season champions, Wollongong.

With an All-Australian line up and with only one more position to fill on the playing roster, the Tigers have their sights firmly set on the season ahead, with their first home game at ‘The Cage’ against the New Zealand Breakers on Wednesday 30th September.

With memberships and group bookings in hot demand this year it’s never been a better time to become part of the Tiger family. Visit www.tigers.com.au for more information.
