Kilsyth Basketball is happy to announce that Tim Lang and Joel Naburgs will once again pull on their red and black Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras singlets after re-signing for the 2014 SEABL season.

Cobra’s Centre and this year’s Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras MVP winner Tim Lang will kick off his sixth year as a Cobra in the 2014 season after a great 2013. His experience and strong leadership abilities are sure to be a great asset to the team.

“Tim has been a stalwart for the past five years and has had an outstanding career” Said Coach Rod Popp. “Besides being an anchor in the middle for the team this coming season he will be looked upon to provide valuable veteran leadership.”

Joel joined the Cobras team mid last season after completing a successful college career at Stetson University (NCAA 1) in Florida, where he enjoyed a career high 27 points against Florida Gulf Coast as part of a stellar final year. His assist total also placed him in the top 10 all-time at Stetson with 275 career assists.

On the re-signing of Joel Coach Popp said, “joining the team mid season last year didn’t really allow for Joel to get into the full flow of the group. He had an outstanding four years at Stetson University and before that he was a standout performer for the Cobra’s youth team. We are looking forward to 2014 being a breakout year for Joel.”

Both Tim and Joel are important signings for the association and more announcements regarding the team make up will be forthcoming.
