The Yarra Ranges Kia Lady Cobras started off round three well, as they bounced back from last week’s loss to record a nine point win over the Sandringham Sabres. In a tightly contested three quarters, the Yarra Ranges Kia Lady Cobras turned on the jets in the final period, taking the game 60 – 51. Player of the Month Brittany Renton had a great game with 15 points and 11 boards, while teammate Jenna Verhoef – Jenkins also had 15 points.

Unfortunately this success was short lived, when on Sunday the Yarra Ranges Kia Lady lost to the Bulleen Boomers 61 – 51. Once again Brittany Renton has a good game with 13 points and 16 boards.

In the VYCM the Yarra Ranges Kia Cobras put the clamps on the Sherbrooke Suns in the first and fourth quarters, to set up a resounding 92 – 50 victory.  The standout of the night was Jackoson Brazier with 28 points, who was well supported by Corey Jeffs with 23.

As if it couldn’t get any better, our boys once again played a stellar game at home on the Sunday, disposing of the Spectres 75 – 51. Arjen Smit had a game high 20 points while Kade Marra added 13.

This weekend the Yarra Ranges Kia Lady Cobras will take on the Melbourne Tigers on the Hugh McMenamin Court on Saturday April 13 at 6.15, before a Men’s SEABL game at 8.15pm against Mt Gambier.

The Yarra Ranges Kia Cobras also have a home game this weekend, taking on the Sandringham Sabres at 1.30pm tip off at the Hugh McMenamin Court.
