Great weekends were had by both the Ladies and Men’s Yarra Ranges Kia Cobras teams in round 5, as they took out convincing wins against their opposition.

First to play were the Yarra Ranges Kia Lady Cobras, who took on the Melbourne Lady Tigers at home on Saturday night. The girls started off the game well, but it was in the second half that they really came into their own, shooting brilliantly to defeat the Lady Tigers by 25 points, with the final score 76 – 51.

Brittany Renton once again played a terrific game with 25 points, whilst teammate Jenna Verhoef helped out with 17 of her own.

Also playing at home on Sunday, the Yarra Ranges Kia Cobras took on the Sandringham Sabres on the Hugh McMenamin Court. The Yarra Ranges Kia Cobras controlled the game from the start, with a definitive lead at every turn. The boys finished the game 38 points up in a resounding win. Final scores were 80 – 42.

In what was overall a great team effort, Kyle Adnam’s stood out with 21 points, three rebounds and two from four from behind the arc.  Also playing a great game was Kieran Murphy with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
