Grant Wallace returns for his eighth season at the helm and will be looking to build upon the teams 2010 Season. Wallace led the Swinburne Cobras to the minor premiership in the regular season and a 19-8 record.  The team ended up losing on the buzzer to Knox 76-75 in the Preliminary Final.

Wallace has amassed a 105-93 record in his 198 games in charge of the Swinburne Cobras and taken the team to two conference finals in 2005 and 2007.

Wallace, who became the Club’s longest serving Coach in 2010, is eager to continue rebuilding the team which was so close this Season, “I am very honoured to be given the opportunity to Coach this great Club again in 2011.”

“We worked hard to promote our Junior Cobra players through to the program in 2010 and believe we have begun building a foundation for the future,” said Wallace.

Club Director of Coaching Rod Popp was pleased to finalise the reappointment of Wallace in a timely manner.

"The Club is very pleased to have Grant back aboard. He will provide experienced leadership for the team,” said Popp.

"This early announcement will allow Grant time to recruit a strong roster for 2011 which will again include a number of talented local players, the future looks bright for the Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras" said Popp.                  

The 2011 Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras roster will now begin to take shape as Wallace builds a team that can take the Swinburne Cobras to the next level.

In another positive announcement, Wallace has also been appointed as the Under 20 Victorian State Coach for the upcoming U20 National Championships.  Wallace will shortly begin selections for the side which will contest the titles in Maitland, NSW in February 2011.
