Grant Wallace returns for his seventh season at the helm and will be looking to build upon the teams 2009 Season. After a slow start Wallace led the team to a 15-12 regular Season record before they were bundled out in the Preliminary Final by eventual SEABL Champion Knox.
Wallace has amassed an 86-83 record in his 169 games in charge of the Cobras and taken the team to two conference finals in 2005 and 2007.
Wallace, who will become the Club’s longest serving Coach in 2010, is eager to build a team that can once challenge for the Title, “I am very honoured to be given the opportunity to Coach this great Club again in 2010.”
“We are working hard to secure Cobra Junior players to best assist our endeavours and share our passion for hard work and success,” said Wallace.
Club Director of Coaching Rod Popp was pleased to finalise the reappointment of Wallace in a timely manner.
“The Club is very pleased to have Grant back aboard. He will provide experienced leadership for the team,” said Popp.
“This early announcement will allow Grant time to recruit a strong roster for 2010 which will again include a number of talented local players, the future looks bright for the Kilsyth Cobras” said Popp.
The 2010 Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras roster will now begin to take shape as Wallace builds a team that can take the Cobras to the next level.
