BALLARAT 48 (Cann 21, Nestor 9)

Both teams fought hard in the first quarter, but Kilsyth lifted their defensive intensity in the second term to limit the nuggets to eight points, and grabbed a match winning 32-21 lead at the half.  Adrianna Cann was the only solid contributor for the Lady Nuggets, but she was unable to guide her team mates to victory as nobody else from her team stepped up to help her out.  Every player on the Kilsyth line-up scored and coach Ed Dunstan was able to give his bench court time as the Lady Cobras led by 20pts after the third quarter.

KILSYTH 113 (Potts 26, Johnson 18)

BALLARAT 58 (Agnew 11, Watene 10)

Kilsyth and Ballarat battled hard in the first quarter but the Cobras stepped it up in the second term, outscoring the Nuggets 31-24 to grab a 55-34 lead at the half.  Kilsyth scored another 31pts in the third quarter to consolidate the win.  With the game in the bag coach Rod Popp let his bench players get some court time and didn’t let their coach down as they continued to increase the lead.
