Rebekah O’Donnell (24pts, 12rbds) and Brittany Renton (15pts, 6rbds) were once again a handful for the opposition in the paint while a balanced scoring effort from the whole team saw the Workforcexs Lady Cobras record a big win.

Kilsyth had contributions from all over the floor with Jess Murty (10pts), Kodie Kroussoratis (9pts), Taylor Walshe (7pts), Caragh Spicer (7 pts) and Emily Van Poppel (7 pts) all making an impact.

For Bendigo Zara Pearson (20pts) and Elise Strachan (14pts) were the major scorers.

Kilsyth will make their first road trip off the season next weekend, playing the return leg against Bendigo on Saturday 1 May 2010 at 6.00pm.

In the second game of the night the Workforcexs Cobras went down 74-67 to the Braves despite leading for most of the match.

Daniel Tomada (17pts), Steven Robinson (17pts) and Adam Knott (16pts, 13rbds) all put up big numbers for Kilsyth but it wasn’t enough as the Braves outscored the Cobras 28-12 in the final term to record the win.

Austin Flint and Matthew Bartlett both had 20 points for the Braves while Chris Adkins finished with 12.

Like the Lady Cobras the men will make the return trip to Bendigo next weekend to once again take on the Braves.  Coach Rod Popp will surely be looking for an improved 4th quarter performance.
