Begin your hoops journey with Mini Cobras

Looking for beginners basketball? We've got you covered with Mini Cobras – our introductory Learn to Play program in conjunction with Aussie Hoops! The ultimate starting point for your hoops journey, Mini Cobras introduces young athletes to basic skills in a fun, friendly and supportive environment.

Mini Cobras is an eight week introductory basketball program – in partnership with Aussie Hoops – for children aged 5-10 years, giving children an opportunity to acquire and develop new skills as well as make new friends.

Our Mini Cobras classes are led by qualified coaches, offering tailored coaching, and equipment for young athletes; including lowered rims and size 5 basketballs with printed guide hands to assist with shooting and passing techniques for our younger participants. New participants have optional exclusive add-ons which include a Mini Cobras practice jersey, and size 5 Mini Cobras basketballs, so they can look and feel like our NBL1 Cobra stars.

Mini Cobras is the perfect starting point for young ballers looking to build confidence in their skills before joining a team. Many of our athletes will join a team after completing one term of Mini Cobras, while some may opt for multiple terms before joining our Junior Domestic competition. Our Advanced Classes are also an ideal option for more experienced players to level-up their skills whilst also competing in a regular team environment.

We have six different Mini Cobra sessions - and four unique programs - running weekly throughout the school term, with our Term 2 classes beginning on Monday April 28:

Beginners - Monday and Friday (4:15pm - 5:00pm)

Kinder Kids - Tuesday and Wednesday (9:30pm - 10:15pm)

Advanced  - Mondays (5:15pm - 6:00pm)

Girls Only - Wednesday (4:00pm - 4:45pm)
