Cobras ink Georgetown Hoya standout Ariel Jenkins

The NBL1 South has been put on notice - enter the paint at your own risk. Former Georgetown Hoya standout Ariel Jenkins is on her way to Kilsyth, with the star centre signing with the Cobra Women for the 2026 season.

An elite rebounder, rim protector and low post scorer, Jenkins joins the Cobras following a standout career at Georgetown, averaging 11.4 points, 10.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game during her senior season with the Hoyas. Playing in one of the NCAA’s toughest conferences, Jenkins established herself as one of the premier centres in collegiate hoops, earning Honorable Mention All-Big East honours in 2025.

The Piscataway, New Jersey native was a force down low on both ends of the floor in 2025, recording 11 double-doubles and eight games with multiple blocked shots, while her 4.4 offensive rebounds per game ranked first in the Big East conference and seventh nationally. Jenkins scored a career-best 22 points in a conference victory over Xavier on December 30, 2024, and five days later she matched her career-highs for both rebounds (16) and blocks (4) against Seton Hall. Her elite rim protection saw Jenkins finish her career with the Hoyas - traditionally one of college basketball’s best schools for developing centres - in the top ten for career blocked shots, and she also wrapped up her career placing in the school’s top-20 in games played and free throw shooting (73%).

Boasting an incredible knack for rebounding and protecting the rim, a skilful low post game, sweet midrange stroke, and a ultra-competitive streak, Jenkins is set to make some major noise for Kilsyth in 2026, and excite Cobra fans in the process.
