IDENTIFICATION CAMPS

Our Junior Cobra ID Camps are for all new players who did not play within the Junior Cobras program in 2023 (current 2023 Cobra players do not attend).

You must attend these sessions to be eligible for Cobra tryouts. 

 

Tuesday 5th & 12th September 2023

  • U12 Boys (born 2013/14/15):
    5.30pm – 6.30pm K3 & K4

     

  • U14 Girls (born 2011/12):
    4.30pm – 5.30pm K2

     

  • U14 Boys (born 2011/12):
    4.30pm – 5.30pm K3 & K4

 

Sunday 3rd & 10th September 2023

  • Under 12 Girls (Born 2013/14/15):
    9.30am to 10.30am on K3 & K4 

 


New U16, U18 & U20 players do not have an ID Camp.

You must email mark.watkins@kilsythbasketball.com.au to apply to trial in writing with a brief description of your experience plus your Full Name, Date of Birth, Domestic Club, Height, Contact Mobile & home address.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Leather basketball (with name clearly marked)
  • Water bottle
  • Light/dark reversible singlet
  • Players coming from another rep club must bring a completed permission to train form in addition to registering via the link above.

Pre Rep ID Camp Information

  1. Players who did not play for Cobras in the 2023 season must attend

    ID camp so the coaches can show them drills that are done at rep

    level at a high intensity.

  1. A panel of coaches will assess each player on their own merits on the

    selection criteria to identify if they have the skills to attend the

    Cobra rep trials.

  1. Some feedback is given on the run during drills during the ID Camp.
  1. There is no set number of players selected in each age group.
  1. The panel of coaches meet after the end of the camp and discuss

    openly on the players who attended. The Director of Coaching has

    the final say on selections.

  1. Players selected & not selected are notified by email a few days after

    the camp if they are successful in attending Cobras trials in October.

  1. If selected to play for Cobras you must be playing or have to join

    the Kilsyth domestic competition or after school competition to be

    eligible for the Cobras representative program.
