The Captain Returns to lead Cobras in 2026

Floor general Adi Tomada is returning to lead the Kilsyth Cobra Men for the 2026 NBL1 season.

Tomada one of 12 Kilsyth junior athletes who suited up for the Cobras in 2025, enjoyed another standout season, leading the team in assists (5.0apg), while ranking fourth in scoring (13.8ppg) and rebounding (4.4rpg). The electrifying floor general played with elite efficiency, with his assist totals (#10 in NBL1 South) and three point shooting (37%) marking career bests. Tomada eclipsed the 20 point mark on five seperate occasions - including a season-high 26 points against the rival Knox Raiders in Round 9 - and his nine assists vs Geelong United in Round 11 were his most since 2023.

Known for his fearless attack on the rim, creative finishing and remarkable grit, Tomada once again displayed his trademark characteristics, while also flashing a refined playmaking ability which was a key driver inelevating the Cobras offence in 2025. Tomada’s point guard prowess saw Kilsyth rank as a top-tier team in offensive efficiency and assist rate, while helping the Cobras double last year’s win total to claim the leagues #3 regular season record.

With Tomada leading Kilsyth at a high level in 2025 (and within a single point of advancing to the league’s Final Four), 2026 promises to be another exciting season ahead for the fan-favourite - and the team - in 2026.
