The Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras will be defending their home court again this week when the Albury Wodonga Bandits head to the Kilsyth Sports Centre this Saturday night.
The Swinburne Lady Cobras are in searing form lately, and will look at continuing their five-game win streak when the Albury Wodonga Lady Bandits hit the Hugh McMenamin Court this Saturday night. Having only dropped two games so far in the season, the Swinburne Lady Cobras are becoming a benchmark in the SEABL.
The Swinburne Lady Cobras are being led from the front, with star players Chantella Perera and Sarah Parson currently leading the League in average point and assists respectively. There is no doubt this Swinburne Lady Cobra team is reaping the benefits of off-season recruiting, with experienced players such as Chelsea Burns, Kristen Barnes and the previously mentioned Sarah Parsons adding a new dimension to the team this season. This has now been reflected in their current standings.
The Albury Wodonga Lady Bandits season is quite the reverse to the Swinburne Lady Cobras, currently winless in 2012 they will be looking at taking a big scalp when they head to Kilsyth this Saturday night to play the Swinburne Lady Cobras.
LAST TIME THEY MET – The Swinburne Lady Cobras walked away from the Lauren Jackson Sports Centre with a 15-point victory. Captain Chantella Perera led from the front, scoring a game high 25 points and distributing 9 assists.
The Swinburne Lady Cobras tip off against the Albury Wodonga Lady Bandits this Saturday 26th May on the Hugh McMenamin Court at 6:15pm. On Sunday 27 May, the Swinburne Lady Cobras travel to Bendigo to play the Lady Braves with 12:00pm tip off.
After finally stringing together a couple of wins, the fourth placed Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras will look to make it three in a row when the third placed Albury Wodonga Bandits head to Kilsyth this Saturday night.
The Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras have hit form in recent weeks, winning their past two games after experiencing consecutive losses prior. This is potentially one of the biggest games for the Swinburne Cobra’s season when Albury Wodonga enter Hugh McMenamin Court on Saturday with the opponent positioned one spot above the Swinburne Cobras on the ladder currently.
Conversely, the Albury Wodonga Bandits will be looking at ending a current losing streak having dropped their past two games and a bye last round, they will be looking at stabilising their current season position when they head to the Kilsyth Sports Centre Saturday night.
LAST TIME THEY MET – The Swinburne Cobras left the Lauren Jackson Sports Centre defeated by 17 points in round 7 this season, despite strong performances from import Garfield Blair and local Auryn Macmillan.
The Swinburne Kilsyth Cobras tip off against the Albury Wodonga Bandits this Saturday 26th May on the Hugh McMenamin Court at 8:15pm. On Sunday 27 May, the Swinburne Cobras travel to Bendigo to play the Braves with 2:00pm tip off.
