Henderson a 6’5” Winona State University guard/forward teamed with 2008 SEABL import Zach Malvik in Winona State’s 2005-06 NCAA Division II Championship and in 2006-07 when the team were NCAA DII National Runners. In 2007-08 Henderson played a major role in Winona States second NCAA DII Championship in three years.

Werner was the shining light in a challenging and injury plagued season for the Cobras.  Werner was recognised for his outstanding season with a place in the All SEABL South Conference team. He finished the season ranked 9th in points (21.1ppg) at 54.8% from the field and 1st in rebounds (14.7rpg). Werner recorded 20 double-doubles and three 20 point–20 rebound games, cementing his place amongst the SEABL elite.

Recruited from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Werner, 200cm, 116kg forward, finished his NCAA Division 3 career in 2007 starting all 27 games and recording 13 double-doubles.  Averaging 16.7 points (at 56% FG) and 9.7 rebounds in his senior year, Werner became the School’s all time blocks leader, and finished his career second in field goal percentage and rebounds and fifth in scoring.

Henderson and Werner will join an experienced line up which also includes returning Kilsyth Cobras Chris Cameron and Michael Wheeler who played with Waverley and Dandenong respectively in 2008.

Both Werner and Quincy will be keen to hit the floor over the coming days and get to work in preparing for the 2009 SEABL Season.
