Hannah Lowe has decided to step down as head coach of the NBL1 Cobra Women’s team.

Lowe is stepping away due to personal reasons, following three years at the helm of the NBL1 Cobra Women’s program. Lowe guided the Cobras to a combined 29-30 record in her three seasons as head coach, including a 10-12 record in 2023 as the Cobras narrowly missed out on a postseason berth. Despite facing significant challenges with injuries – which played a major part in a 3-9 start – Lowe managed to lead the Cobras into playoff contention as they won seven of their last nine games, playing impressive basketball to end the 2023 season.

“The club would like to thank Hannah for her hard work and dedication to the NBL1 Women’s team,” Manager of Basketball Operations Mark Watkins said.

“Hannah has a good knowledge of the game and learnt a lot about what it takes to be a successful coach in the NBL1. It wasn’t any easy season to coach in with so much adversity and plenty of highs and lows, but it will put her in good stead for the next chapter in her coaching career.”

“We wish her all the best for what’s next.”
