Rising star Isis Lopes will return to Kilsyth for a second NBL1 season.

Lopes enjoyed a strong debut season with the Cobras in 2022, averaging 9.4 points per game – good for fourth on the team. The former UTEP and Clemson Tigers guard scored in double-digits on nine occasions, including a season-best 20 points against the Keilor Thunder in Round 10.

Possessing a smooth perimeter game, Lopes looked like a seasoned veteran with the Cobras last year, with her size and strength proving to be a handful for opposing wings. And now with a full NBL1 season under her belt – as well as an impressive preseason campaign – Cobras head coach Hannah Lowe expects Lopes to take a big jump in year two with the Cobras

“2022 was the ‘come back’ season for Isis,” Lowe said.

“The future is certainly bright for her as she has already been putting in a lot of work off the court.
