Fosters Phantoms junior Nick Feller has signed with the Cobra Men for the 2022 NBL1 season.

Feller makes the full time jump to the NBL1 following a standout VYC career with the Cobras, where he served as a team captain over the past two seasons. The 6’7 forward brings the terrific two-way versatility to the Cobras roster, able to shoot the three and score off the bounce at an efficient rate, and guard a number of positions at a high level.

Poised for a big 2021 season with the VYC Men, the captain tragically suffered an ACL tear in the opening game the season, putting an end to his career at the VYC level as he aged-out of the under-23 competition. But following a dedicated 12 month rehab, Feller is now cleared for for takeoff at the NBL1 level, with his new head coach, Pete Godfrey, confident his transition to the next level will be a seamless one.

“Nick was set to play a big role for the VYC Men last year, having led the group on and off the court through the no-season of 2020 and pre-season 2021,” Godfrey said.

“But sport can be cruel sometimes and an ACL injury in game one of last season unfortunately put an end to Nick’s season and his VYC career.”

“Following a meticulous rehab program, Nick will add depth and versatility to our line up. Capable of playing multiple positions, a hard working, high basketball IQ player, Nick will be a valuable member of the committee.”
