Kilsyth juniors Jamie Ahale and Josh Kunen are set to tip-off their 2020/21 NCAA collegiate campaigns this week.

Ahale enters his senior season with the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), where he looks to take on a larger role under new head coach, Luke Yaklich. Yaklich won an NCAA championship as an assistant at the University of Michigan, and is expected to turn the Flames into a Horizon League conference powerhouse. The sharpshooting Ahale excelled both on and off the court in 2019-20, as he was named to the Horizon League All-Academic Team and the NABC Honors Court.

Ahale and the Flames open their new season on the road against Northern Illinois University on Thursday November 26, 11.00am (AEST).

Josh recorded a pair of double-doubles and scored a season-high 16 points in a win over UC Davis, with his strong first year play earning him a place on the College Hoops Today ’20 under-the-radar breakout players’ list

Josh and the Dons open their season on Thursday November 26, when they hit the road to take on UMass Lowell at 8am (AEST); the first of four east coast games in the ‘Bubbleville Tournament.’
