Two-time Conference Championship winning coach Sam Woosnam will return to lead the Kilsyth Lady Cobras for the 2018 SEABL season.

Woosnam is back to lead the Lady Cobras for a fifth season, having reached the Conference Championship Game for the third consecutive season in 2017. Woosnam guided the Lady Cobras to the league’s best regular season record at 18-4, the second straight year that Kilsyth has topped the SEABL standings. In her four years at Kilsyth, Woosnam has turned the Lady Cobras into a league powerhouse, with her teams amassing a 69-20 record overall – a .775 winning percentage – since the start of 2014.

Coaching two league MVP’s and two Australian Opals in her time at Kilsyth, Woosnam has proven an innate ability to maximize the performance of both individuals and the team as a whole. Her performance has not gone unnoticed, either, as Woosnam was named the Basketball Victoria Coach of the Year and SEABL Coach of the Year for 2016.

With the Lady Cobras leader back on board, the search is now on for a local, family oriented organisation to join Kilsyth Basketball as Principal Partner.
