Fosters Phantoms junior and VYC star Mitch Dielemans has signed with the Kilsyth Cobras for their inaugural season in the NBL1.

Dielemans receives the full-time NBL1 call-up following a stellar three year stint with the VYC Cobras, one which saw him named to the All-VYC Team in 2018. Dielemans led the VYC in scoring in 2018 with 20.5 points per game, while finishing third in three-pointers made (2.6 3PM), fourth in assists (4.0apg), and shooting a league-best 86.5 percent from the free throw line to cap a dominant season.

The speedy point guard boasted near identical numbers the season prior, when he helped the VYC Men secure the 2017 state championship in a thrilling three game series. Just a month later Dielemans was at it again, leading the Under 20 Cobra Men to a state title thanks to his 37 point eruption in the championship game.

Though undersized, Dielemans uncanny ability to finish in traffic over larger defenders with either hand, coupled with his electric speed and perimeter shooting, has seen him become a fan favourite at Kilsyth in recent years. Dielemans scoring, playmaking and winning pedigree is set to give the NBL1 Cobras a boost off the bench for the season ahead, adding depth to an explosive backcourt headlined by 2018 All-SEABL members, Isaac Turner and Peter Hooley.
