The Kilsyth Cobra Men have made a big addition to their front court, signing import power forward Bryce Davis for the 2024 NBL1 season.

Davis joins the Cobras following a standout collegiate career, having led Arizona Christian University to a pair of NAIA National Tournament appearances in 2022 and 2023. The skilled big man starred on the biggest stage, guiding the Firestorm to the Final Four in 2022, and Elite Eight in his final season in 2023. Davis averaged 11.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in just over 20 minutes per game over his final two seasons in Arizona, with his efficient and consistent play seeing him earn an NAIA All-American Honourable Mention in 2023. His big game play also saw him named to the NAIA All-Tournament Team 2022 – highlighted by a 19-point, nine-rebound performance in the Final Four against eventual champions, Loyola – proving that Davis is not one to shy away from the spotlight.

Standing at 6’7 tall, Davis gives the Cobras a versatile and highly skilled forward, with the Glendale, Arizona, native possessing a powerful low post game, knock down midrange shooting and elite passing for a big man. Davis shot 53% from the field over his final two years with the Firestorm, and averaged just under two assists per contest, including a career-best eight in a win over Olivet Nazarene last season. Davis’ quick hands and shot blocking saw him become a disruptive force on the defensive end, too; in his final season at ACU, he recorded double digit steals on seven different occasions (including a career-high five vs Montana Western), and blocked multiple shots in eight games.

Since joining the Cobras, Davis has slotted in seamlessly, with his low post scoring and passing opening up another element to head coach Pete Godfrey’s offence. An ideal compliment to Kilsyth’s perimeter heavy attack, and a proven, big-game player, Davis figures to be a key piece on a Cobra team looking to make some serious noise in 2024.
