The Cobra Men have added some more perimeter firepower to their roster for the 2018 SEABL season, signing sharpshooter Felix Von Hofe.

A University of Eastern Washington graduate, Von Hofe was a standout performer during his four year career with the Eagles, finishing as the school’s all-time leader in three pointers made (262 3PM) and the winningest player in program history. The 6’5 wing was named team co-captain for EWU during his senior season, averaging 13.0 points per game and helping lead the Eagles to a 22-12 record. Von Hofe had eight games in 2017 in which he buried five or more three pointers, and finished the season with a team leading 3.2 three-point makes per game.

After graduating from EWU, Von Hofe joined the Dandenong Rangers in the SEABL for the second half of the 2017 season. In 12 games with Dandenong, Von Hofe averaged 8.5ppg and drained 25 three pointers, helping lead the Rangers to a South Conference Championship.

Cobras Head Coach Justin Schueller is thrilled to have Von Hofe on board for the new season, with his winning pedigree and elite perimeter shooting set to give the Cobras a significant boost.

“Felix is a massive addition to our squad; he is one of the most elite shooters around and adds much needed perimeter shooting for us, which will compliment our other pieces,” Schueller said.

“He is exactly what we want around the club; a hard working athlete that is striving to cement himself in the NBL and we look forward to helping him with that. I’m expecting big things from him; he isn’t recognised for his defence but will be an asset on that end of the floor in addition to filling up the score sheet each night.”

Von Hofe is the Cobras fourth signing for the 2018 SEABL season, joining returners Ben Ursich, Owen Odigie and Chris Patton.
