Having produced a season best 34pts@71% along with 5rebs, 5ass and 4stls Kilsyth Lady Cobras Deanna Smith receives her first Player of the Week recognition this season.  Smith was a dominate force at the offensive end in the second and fourth quarters, when her team needed her the most.  Smith has been the Lady Cobras go to player all season and was fouled 10 times during the match.  Smith played all but 8mins of the game and recorded a successful 11 from 11 from the free throw line .

q       Bendigo Lady Braves Kelly Wilson has shown a glimpse of her 2009 MVP form in recent weeks and averaged 21pts, 3rebs, 5.5ass and 1blk over the weekend to help Bendigo to an 2-0 record.

q       Brisbane Lady Spartans duo Kristen Veal (15pts, 7rebs, 2.5ass & 3stls) and Rachel Pryor (15.5pts, 9rebs & 2blks) produced a consistent weekend to help their team to a much needed 2-0 record and remain in third position on the ladder.

q       With 24pts@55%, 15rebs, 2ass and 1blk from Eleanor Brentnall the Nunawading Spectres were able to produce a great 95-90 double overtime victory over previous ladder leaders Launceston.
