Dick began his first official role as head of the senior match committee in 1978 going on to become the Association President for 2 years and joining the board. During this time the Kilsyth Cobras were born. He continued as a board member until his appointment as General Manager in 1998.

Dick has been involved at all levels of the association; he began the Basin Wildcats Basketball Club, coached the junior Cobras Boys and Girls, served as a SEABL assistant and team manager and won the Victorian State Title in 1996 with the Under 20 Cobras Boys.

During his tenure as General Manager, Dick oversaw some major projects including; the planning and building of the foyer at the Kilsyth Sports Centre, the development of Club Kilsyth and Club Ringwood as the best community clubs in Victoria, the rebuilding of Club Kilsyth after it was destroyed by fire, the continued growth as Australia largest and best Basketball Association, the usage agreement with Oxley Stadium and the plans to build two new courts at Kilsyth.

The Association is forever indebted to the years of extroadinary service Dick has given and we wish him and Norma all the best as they continue their support of the Association.
