Fan favourite Nick Feller has re-signed with the Kilsyth Cobras for the 2024 NBL1 season.

A versatile defender with the ability to score from the perimeter and at the rim, Feller was a key contributor off the bench for the Cobras in 2023. With his boundless energy and physicality, the 6’7 forward was able to hold his own against much bigger opponents, and utilised his speed and athleticism to not only contain smaller perimeter players, but slash to the rim and crash the glass on the offensive end at a high rate.

The Fosters Phantoms junior was the Cobras top offensive rebounder on a per-minute basis, highlighted a season-high five offensive rebounds in a Round 7 win over the Hobart Chargers. One night prior, Feller enjoyed a career scoring night in the NBL1, dropping 22 points – including five triples – off the bench against the Casey Cavaliers as he displayed his complete offensive arsenal.

Feller’s path to NBL1 success was not an easy one: he missed the entirety of the 2021 season with a torn ACL – his final VYC season – on the back of the cancelled 2020 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The former Cobras VYC Captain made the jump to NBL1 in 2022 having effectively not played since 2019, but with his natural leadership, hustle and enthusiasm for the game, Feller quickly carved out a valuable role in coach Pete Godfrey’s rotation. And with two full seasons under his belt, Feller looks set to to make another jump in year three as a key player in the Cobra front court.
